10mm HSSE-V3 TiAlN Coated White Band Spiral Flute Tap
HSSE-V3 HSSE with 3% Vanadium high performance tap.
TiAlN (Titanium Aluminium Nitride) coating provides higher temperature resistance and improved surface hardness.
Optimised for machining Cast Iron.
Spiral flute with 15º helix angle.
Designed for tapping blind holes where the right hand spiral forces swarf out of the hole and prevents clogging which may cause breakage or spoiled threads.
Designed to withstand the high stress and high heat associated with CNC production tapping.
Optimised material and geometry to manage the difficult and highly abrasive machining of cast iron.
TiAlN coating increases tool surface hardness to 87Rc.
For machining materials with Hardness < 300 HB : Tensile Strength <1000 N/mm2.
