HSSE-V3 HSSE with 3% Vanadium high performance tap.
Optimised for machining Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys.
Spiral point, straight flute with angular cutting faces at the lead.
Primarily design for tapping through holes but can be used for blind holes provided there is ample clearance beyond the threaded section to accommodate the swarf.
Designed to withstand the high stress and high heat associated with CNC production tapping.
Optimised geometry to manage difficult long chip formation and material which has tendencies to stick to the tool.
For machining materials with Hardness < 200 HB : Tensile Strength <700 N/mm2.
