The Mitutoyo Series 7200 Dial Depth Gauges, Indicator Type, Metric, depending on the model, have a measurement range of 0 to up to 210mm; a stroke (or travel distance of the indicator) of 5mm, 10mm, or 30mm; a resolution (or smallest graduation interval) of 0.01mm; with up to + or – 0.015mm of accuracy. The dial gauge interface provides precise and easily readable measurements. All units except model 7210 include extension measuring rods for flexibility. Models 7210 and 7222 have a carbide-tipped ball point for precise measurements. The bases of the units are available in both elongated and rounded designs. The bottom of the bases are hardened, ground, and lapped for durability and accuracy. Depth gauges are typically used in manufacturing, machining, and mechanical engineering.
Depth gauges are precision measuring instruments used to determine the depth of any shape that has a step, groove, or slot.
