The new Mitutoyo QuantuMike micrometers have 4x faster spindle travel.Operators will see a significant reduction in positioning time compared to using conventional micrometers.The Mitutoyo Quantumikes have both a ratchet on the thimble as well as the speeder.With the IP65 protection, the micrometers are free from measurement error and physical deterioration due to routine exposure to water, cutting oil or coolant. Mitutoyo is able to achieve the IP65 level of protection by using encoders that are inherently immune to contamination where exposure is inevitable. Combined with comprehensive sealing techniques and extremely oil-resistant materials to guarantee a long working life under normal operating conditions.
