The Mitutoyo Surface Roughness Testers have the unique ability to use the Drive Unit while attached inside the main housing, or detached from the main housing yet still connected by a cable.
When detached from the main unit, the drive unit allows you to measure surface roughness in smaller, hard to reach places. It also allows you to mount the Surface Roughness Drive Unit to a Height Gage for quick and easy, more accurate and more repeatable surface roughness measurements.
