HSS-Co10 (Cobalt)
Used to cut off (part) a section or workpiece from a bar being held in a chuck.
Slightly tapered on both sides from top to bottom to reduce friction when parting.
Ground with a flat top with some rake to ensure continuous “using up” of the blade.
Must be used at a right angle to the axis of the lathe.
Can also be used for grooving.
