Our brand of STS spline cutters – Formally “Superior Tool Service” were manufacturing & operating in Australia since the 1970’s.
Our spline cutters are manufactured with the best, suitable High-Speed Steels; ground M35- HSS. They have all been machine relieved ground for correct clearance angles.
(So, we do not sell “the cheapies” of soft steels & guessing if they will do?)
“involute”, meaning that are not just straight sides, they have angles ground to suit the circular dimensions.
NOTE: Our standards in Australia have Bores of 1” with ¼” keyway.

Involute Spline Cutters are supplied in either of the two systems; MODULE (Metric/Pitch) or DP (Diametrical Pitch) – (Imperial).
MODULE spline cutters; DIN 8452 & DIN 8450 are most popular Involute Spline Cutters are supplied to cut any number of splines required for splines,
in a set of 8 x numbers.
Most common spline cutters have 30° PA (Pressure Angle).
