Description

Handheld Crystolon dual-grit oilstones provide high control over the angle and contact when sharpening blades and small cutting edges. Crystolon is a silicon carbide abrasive that provides quick stock removal to create a smooth, consistent edge before honing to create a sharp cutting edge. Oilstones are lubricated using abrasive stone oil to push the loosened abrasive and metal shavings away from the stone’s surface to create a smooth, polished blade. Oil is applied to surface before sharpening and generally takes longer to sharpen than waterstones.
