The Knipex 77 12 115 ESD electronics side cutter is a really fine tool compared to home installation side cutters. It is compact and lightweight, with a length of 115 mm and a weight of 80 g – and is therefore ideal for tight spaces, such as on printed circuit boards or when working on precise mechanical structures. With a cutting hardness of around 62 HRC, it cuts soft wire up to ø 1.6 mm and hard wire up to ø 0.6 mm. The short pliers head provides a strong lever. These are excellent conditions for both a combination of force in cutting and a fine dosage of hand force. The joint of the KNIPEX 77 12 115 ESD electronics side cutter is gradual, smooth and play-free. The inner pliers leg is guided on both sides by two wide support surfaces on the outer pliers leg. Tipping movements are prevented, the nuts are only loaded on the cross section. The cutting edges are hardened in addition to the oil hardening of all pliers inductively to approx. 62 HRC.
