The Mitutoyo 523-141 snap meters accept a variety of optional indicators, linear gages and LVDTs for fast, accurate outside dimension verification according to a preset dimension or tolerance. The Mitutoyo snap meter gage utilizes a hardened steel spindle and anvil with carbide faces for precise, highly reliable outside dimension measurements. Many different types of dial or digital indicators attach to the spindle, allowing for GO/NG measurements on a wide variety of applications.Majority of the users will use an electronic indicator on the snap meter but a high accuracy probe or LVDT hooked up to a digital readout can increase the overall accuracy of the snap meter.hen an electronic indictor includes tolerancing lights in the features, the Mitutoyo Snap Meter can turn into an easy-to-use Go/NG gauge. The anvil trigger has a balanced spring and operates easily with a button on the anvil side of the frame. The retractable anvil allows for faster workpiece throughput without sacrificing accuracy.
