Description

Applications
MP GEAR OIL 460 provides a highly effective oil film
between mating teeth to reduce frictional losses in the
gearing mechanism. High film strength prevents metal-tometal contact, reducing wear due to dry gearing. The
tenacious oil film absorbs impact loads and assures quiet,
vibrationless operation. MP GEAR OIL 460 also serve as
a heat transfer medium to conduct frictional heat away
from the gear surfaces to cool them and provide a more
efficient gear unit. When ball and roller bearings are an
integral part of the gear assembly, the importance of
proper lubrication of these units must be considered as
well as of the gears themselves.

Recommendation For Use
MP GEAR OIL 460 is used as received.
