Description

RUST VETO® 4214-au utilizes special polar
compounds held up in petroleum solvent, such that
wet components to be treated for rust protection
can simply be immersed, the moisture is displaced
leaving a residual rust preventive film following
evaporation of solvent.
RUST VETO® 4214-au is particularly effective where
there is alkaline acid or solvent emulsion rinse water
left on components to be treated.
RUST VETO® 4214-au releases displaced water at an
extremely rapid rate and leaves a very thin,
transparent protective film.
RUST VETO® 4214-au is particularly suited to protect
ferrous surfaces from rust. It displaces water on parts
which have been cleaned in alkaline cleaners or
petroleum solvents After the wash rinse the cleaned
parts are dipped in RUST VETO® 4214-au.
Care should be taken to avoid excessive evaporation
of solvent by keeping the rust preventive holding
vessel covered when not in use

Applications
RUST VETO® 4214-au releases displaced water within
minutes and, on evaporation, leaves a very thin,
transparent protective film. It provides indoor
protection for as long as 12 months, particularly if
parts are packaged.

Recommendation For Use
RUST VETO® 4214-au is applied by spray, dip or brush.
If high flash point product required, RUST VETO® 4214
HF is available with a Flash Point 66°C.
When the rust preventive film is required to be
removed, a simple clean with petroleum solvents
such as turps, kerosene by wipe or dipping or by the
use of alkaline cleaners heated to 60°C can be used.
