Shim in a Can has been designed for easy storage and protection of the shim during transit and use. Steel Shim is a low carbon mild steel, cold rolled to a #1 hard temper. It is stiff and springy, and should be used where hardness is required. The material can be punched or sheared with minimum burring and distortion. The primary components of Steel Shim are manganese and carbon. Steel Shim Stock meets the following pecifications: AISI, 1010 and QQS 698.
