HSSE-V3 HSSE with 3% Vanadium high performance tap.
TiAlN (Titanium Aluminium Nitride) coating provides higher temperature resistance and improved surface hardness.
Optimised for machining tough treatable steel.
Spiral flute with 15º helix angle.
Designed for tapping blind holes where the right hand spiral forces swarf out of the hole and prevents clogging which may cause breakage or spoiled threads.
Designed to withstand the high stress and high heat associated with CNC production tapping.
The mechanical properties of steel are influenced diversely by the addition of alloying elements and heat treatment processes, resulting in some high-strength, quenched and tempered steels or hardened steels.
TiAlN coating increases tool surface hardness to 87Rc.
For machining materials with Hardness < 470 HB : Tensile Strength <1500 N/mm2.
